Anandashram

Anandashram, literally known as the Abode of bliss, is an internationally renowned spiritual centre founded by Swami Ramdas in 1939. The place is situated about 13 km from Bekal and 5 km from Kanhangad. The ashram offers a quiet peaceful ambience best suited for meditation and spiritual studies. Set in green background, there is a hill to the east of the ashram, to which the devotees can sit in peace for meditation. Western side of the ashram is an extensive landscape that can be seen in its natural grandeur. The highest point of the hill, inside the ashram, is so fascinating that the devotees, who go up the hill and sit silently, are blessed with deep peace and tranquility.
