
Madiyankulam Durga Temple
Madiyankulam Durga Temple, situated about 5 km from Kanhangad, is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The temple is famous for the Bhutha Dance (pootham) performed in connection with the annual festivals in May/June & December/January. The interesting fact of the temple is that the Brahmin priest performs puja only in the noon, the morning and evening pujas are performed by a division called Maniyanis (Yadavas).
